My true north: I am a photographer, storyteller, and traveler. Growing up with a mom who always had one eye behind her Canon AE1, my appreciation for capturing images is well-rooted in my genes. Specializing in connecting with subjects on a personal level, I strive to capture sincere expressions and moments. New projects and environments energize me, and I am always eager to travel to catch the story.
A few ideas for photo assignments or projects I am especially interested in:
Women in farming, organic agriculture in general, projects about the American Midwest, art activism, women fighting for social justice using art, stories regarding orthorexia, ESL teachers abroad (specifically Japan, where my experience was), rural Japan, death and dying, hospice care, aging in rural areas . . .
